The view from the room and balcony is spectacular overlooking a secluded bay. Being nature enthusiast, the best thing about our stay was the amazing wildlife which is abundant on the property- Wallabies, Paddymelons and even rare Potoroos feed around the cabins in the evening affording great views from the comfort of the pod. Sea-eagles and Eastern Quolls are resident and birdlife is prolific. We highly recommend Free Spirit Pods for anyone coming to Bruny Island, especially as a base for nature lovers to explore the island.

You can suit yourself and kick back with a book and do nothing. Must do: toast the evening by the fire pit and watch the Milky Way stroll by as the native animals come and go. Garry and Chris were the best hosts and they made our stay just brilliant. We shall return!

The house is built by the water and you will enjoy nice view from the bacony of the house. You will have no difficulties to find that the house owner is giving a lot of heart in decorating and equipping the house for comfortable stay. We felt extremely relaxed in our pod which is fitted out brilliantly, warm, cosy it is situated in a beautiful natural area overlooking the bay. All the amenities are first class and we especially enjoyed the short walks and visits from the wallabies at night. It is a credit to the owners, and we will definitely return.
August 2019”Myself and my partner stayed four nights in the flying duck pod a couple of months back and I have never felt more relaxed/at home. Not only are the hosts extremely accommodating but the views and encounters with the local animals are just breathtaking. Also the pod had everything we could ever need including a gorgeous kitchen, fireplace and bathroom! The best part was all the personal touches of marshmallows for the fire or wallaby food to experience the magic yourself! Definitely recommend!
Em VJune 2019”I stayed with my husband in the Blue Wren pod shortly after it opened and we fell in love with the place! Top notch amenities, and so warm and cosy we didn't want to leave. The beds were SO comfy! The view of Quarantine Bay was spectacular, and our evenings were spent enjoying visits from the friendly local wildlife and enjoying the local produce out on our private deck or around the fire pit. The owners were wonderfully warm and friendly and their knowledge of local surrounds was really helpful in choosing how to spend our time there. A couple of times we stayed on site opting to go kayaking, fishing and exploring the immediate area. Plenty to do there - as much (or as little!) as you wish. Will definitely be back next time with the kids and stay longer.

The pellet fire heater ensured a warm and cosy stay and the underfloor heating was a touch of luxury. The pod is positioned subtly within its surrounds and the generous deck looks over the beautiful bay beyond. Our wonderful hosts greeted us with a warm welcome and ensured our stay was comfortable and peaceful, just what were hoping for. We highly recommend and will definitely return.
